Each year Hospice Isle of Man is delighted to provide a real Christmas tree collection & recycling service across the Island, to help raise vital funds for the charity. The service is run by Hospice Isle of Man alongside the Isle of Man Post Office, Tels Ltd. and Ballaneven Compost. It proves popular year on year and is returning for the festive season once again.
During last year’s collections, over 720 trees were collected, 7250kg of trees were shredded by Tels and a record breaking £13,200 was raised.
Anne Mills, CEO of Hospice Isle of Man, expressed “Without the funds raised from initiatives such as our Christmas Tree Recycling Service, we wouldn’t be able to provide the specialist palliative care that we do, and we are truly grateful to everyone for their enduring commitment and belief in Hospice Isle of Man.”
All Hospice services are provided totally free of charge to patients and their families, and the money raised from the Christmas Tree Recycling Service enables Hospice to continue their important work in helping the community.
If you would like to use the service, you must register before midday on Tuesday, January 4 at www.hospice.org.im/christmastreerecycle to have your tree collected over the weekend of Saturday 8 and Sunday, January 9 2022.
Please note your tree will need to be left outside your house prior to 6am on Saturday, January 8.
There is a suggested donation of £15 per tree.
All money raised goes straight to supporting Hospice Isle of Man.
