Thursday 25th November marks Carers Rights Day and local charity Crossroads Care Isle of Man is preparing to honour the important day, which raises awareness of the work of carers across the British Isles. The coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on carers and their mental wellbeing and this year, the day will shine a light on the rights of carers who are unpaid.
Islandlife caught up with Crossroads Chairman Jackie Bettridge to learn more about the day and what the charity has lined up for the Island’s community.
This year’s Anti-Bullying Week campaign centres around One Kind Word and after an incredibly difficult two years with the pandemic and countless periods of isolation, kindness is more important today than it has ever been.
Carers Rights Day will be held on 25th November 2021.
