Crews from Port St Mary Lifeboat weren’t afraid to get their hands wet last weekend, all in the aid of charity. Sporting their very best yellow wellies and smiles, volunteers spent more than three hours hosing, washing and polishing cars, motorhomes including a local boat.
Owners waited patiently, whilst enjoying a range of homemade cakes baked by the members of the local charity.
The event raised £600, and when combined with an additional £400 contributed from the car boot sale from the week before, this takes the grand total to £1000.
Funds raised will provide the crews with lifesaving equipment to help them continue saving lives at sea.
The crew has thanked the local community for their continued support.
