An Island firm is inviting children and young people in the Isle of Man to showcase their creativity in celebration of World Kindness Day 2021.

Grant Thornton member firms throughout the world are among those planning to mark the worldwide day to celebrate kindness this November. That includes Grant Thornton Isle of Man which is encouraging Island youngsters to design a poster to show what kindness means to them.

The competition is open for three age groups: up to 6 years-old; 7-9 years and 10 plus with prizes for each age category and the overall winner receiving a £100 book voucher for their school.

Posters should be A4, include the words ‘World Kindness Day 2021’ and be submitted to the Grant Thornton office at Exchange House (third floor), Athol Street, Douglas, IM1 1JD by hand or by post, or via e-mail: [email protected] by Tuesday 9th November.

Entries should also include the young person’s name, age, contact number and school on the back of the poster.

Lyndsay Brew, Associate Director at Grant Thornton Isle of Man, explained: ‘We’re excited to launch this competition to coincide with World Kindness Day 2021, which is all about spreading joy, promoting good deeds and making the world a better place. We can’t wait to see the entries start to come in and encourage children to be make their posters as creative, colourful and fun as possible!’
