New Year’s Fell Race celebrates 2022 in style

The New Year’s Day Fell Run, organised by the Manx Fell Runners and sponsored by David Cretney, saw people dashing into 2022 in high spirits. The event took place at Slieau Whallian Plantation at St John’s, with 195 runners tackling the 4km course and donning some great fancy dress costumes, from Santa and Darth Vader to Fred Flintstone and even a lobster. The event takes place annually to raise money for local charities, with Hospice Isle of Man and the Salvation Army being this year’s beneficiaries.
